The Team Reed FOundation
The Team Reed Foundation was founded in 2016.
The Team Reed Foundation is a 501(c)-3 donor-advised fund and currently works with the Greater Houston Community Foundation (GHCF) to help donate time and funds to their local Houston communities as well as across the United States. The Team Reed Foundation focus is to support Junior Golf through the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) with one of the most successful Tournaments in AJGA history- The Patrick Reed AJGA Junior Championship. The foundation also supports several local and national children’s hospitals, The Tower Cancer Research Foundation as well as charities like the St. Benedict’s Homeless Shelter in Owensboro, KY as well as Wendell Foster’s Campus for Developmental Disabilities in Owensboro, Kentucky, a private, nonprofit organization, founded in 1947, that is recognized nationwide in developmental disability fields for its level of excellence in care, quality of services, and exceptional standards of excellence. Wendell Foster services touch the lives of over 1700 children and adults in 37 counties in Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana. The grandfather of Mr. Reed’s wife, Mr. John L. Kessler, served on Wendell Foster’s Board of Directors beginning in 1954, serving as its chair on three different occasions, the last of which was 1974. Mr. Kessler was very passionate about this vulnerable population, and the Team Reed Foundation continues to support great causes that they feel connected to and want to improve and change people’s lives. Team Reed hopes to build this foundation to help serve people and give back to those in need locally, nationally, and worldwide.
